I am a tap dancer, singer and producer.
I was born and raised in Western Massachusetts and live in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. I’ve studied tap dance primarily under the mentorship of Derick K. Grant, as well as with Dormeshia and Jason Samuels Smith.
With my loop pedal handy, I am a solo artist as well as a bandleader, depending on the day. I’ve performed on NYC stages including Nublu, ShapeShifter Lab, Williamsburg Music Center, Knitting Factory … but you can find me regularly on the street and in the parks.
In 2018 I founded a monthly tap jam session in Brooklyn called The Spell which offers space for tap dancers, musicians, and other performers to experiment. Since then The Spell has also grown into a broader artist collective. I perform with trumpeter Alphonso Horne and his band Gotham Kings. I’ve also had privilege of performing in choreographic works by Michela Lerman, Andrew Nemr, Christina Carminucci, Alex MacDonald, and Asha Griffith — as well as with Subject:Matter, a tap company based in Boston.
I’ve released two EPs of original music, Flipside (2019) and Roam Wide (2021).
